Spanish is extremely more important to this business than I expected it to be. I'm not sure I know how to cope without being 100% fluent? Clients do not take me seriously when they realize I don't speak their native language. Somehow I feel they would be offended if I asked them to speak into my GoogleTranslate App so as of now, this is a red flag.

The most important thing I gained from this experience is learning more about my community. I not only was exposed to so many clients cases and stories, but I got heard them plead for the attorneys assistance first hand. It was sad, but it gave me a realistic view of just how unfair the world can be while also demonstrating how courageous individuals are to persevere through it all.
5.
My senior project topic will be specifically on the Criminal (In)Justice aspect of Immigration. After helping prep one particular client for his immigration trial, I questioned whether it was appropriate for the government to seek the deportation of individuals who had committed certain crimes, yet had already paid their debt to society through the criminal justice system.
